Focus and Scope

Journal of Business Administration Research (JBAR) welcomes empirical studies, theoretical papers, literature reviews, and case-based research that contribute to understanding and improving organizational management and business practice. Areas of interest include management, human resources, marketing, accounting, finance, taxation, auditing, business economics, and other subjects that inform administrative and managerial decision-making.

Scope

• Management and Organizational Practice - Management processes, organization design, leadership, behavior, and administrative effectiveness.
• Human Resource Management - Recruitment, development, performance, careers, employment relations, and workplace practices. 
• Marketing and Customer Management - Marketing strategy, consumer and customer management, branding, services, and sales. 
• Accounting and Control - Accounting information, managerial accounting, auditing, internal controls, and performance measurement. 
• Finance and Financial Administration - Business finance, investment decisions, financial planning, risk, and financial performance. 
• Taxation and Business Regulation - Taxation, compliance, business regulation, governance, and administrative implications of legal frameworks. 
• Business Economics and Decision Analysis - Economic analysis of firms, markets, productivity, and managerial decisions. 
• Applied Business Research - Case studies, evidence-based management, process improvement, and practice-oriented research across business functions.

Peer Review Process

The journal uses double-anonymized peer-reviewed system for peer-review. The manuscript will be peer-reviewed by at least two independent external reviewers with relevant expertise. The review process may take 4-10 weeks. The editorial board makes the editorial decision after considering the reviewers' reports, the manuscript's scholarly quality, relevance, originality, methodological or analytical validity, ethical compliance, reporting quality, and any other relevant information. Possible decisions include acceptance, minor revision, major revision, rejection with an invitation to submit a substantially revised manuscript as a new submission, or rejection.

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

 

 

Archiving

This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration. More...

Before submitting a proposal, please note the following:

  • The special issue should focus on a specific research topic, conference theme, or closely related area within the journal’s scope.
  • All manuscripts submitted to the special issue will follow the same editorial and peer-review process as regular submissions.
  • Proposed guest editors and reviewers are subject to approval by the journal.
  • Proposals should be submitted to the journal at least five months before the planned publication date.
  • An article processing charge (APC) applies to each accepted article.
  • All published articles will be freely available online as open-access articles.
