Prof. Dr. Shyue Chuan Chong
Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology (TAR UMT), Malaysia
Obtained his Bachelor of Economics (Applied Statistics) and Master of Applied Statistics from the University of Malaya and PhD in Economics from UTAR. Prof Dr Chong is currently Associate Professor of the Faculty of Accountancy, Finance and Business, Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology (TAR UMT), Malaysia.
In the research life, Prof Dr Chong has published more than 100 international refereed journal articles, conference papers, technical reports, and books, and led almost 90 research projects and consultancy works, with the total amount of funding MYR4 million. His area of expertise and research interest includes primary survey, marketing and consumer behavior, tourism and BRI (Belt and Road Initiative).
Prof Dr Chong is also actively involved in community and volunteer work. He serves as the Research Fellow for the Royal Statistical Society (RSS), United Kingdom (since 2010), Member of the ACCCIM Commerce and SMEs Committee (since 2009), Assessor of the Malaysia Qualifications Agency (MQA) (since 2010) and PSMB Certified Trainer (since 2016).
